Sail on the Garonne
- The latest of the urban crossings downstream of the Port de la Lune, the Jacques-Chaban-Delmas bridge is equipped with a lifting span ensuring the passage of the largest boats.
The marine jig boaters (sailboats not dismasted, large yachts, etc.) must inform Mission Tourisme of their arrival at least 8 days in advance by by or by telephone on 05 56 93 93 56. (It is also strongly recommended to make yourself known to the harbor master’s office by VHF, channel 12, before going under the bridge.)
The boats with river gauge can pass the Jacques-Chaban-Delmas bridge indifferently, except during movements of the deck or during the passage of a large vessel.
- Lthe stone bridge of Bordeaux constitutes the limit of the maritime registration. The air draft of this bridge, the lowest in the sector, is approximately 7 meters at the keystone at high tide and 12 meters at low tide.
