Chiarra Ferragni: blogger and fashion consultant

Madame Figaro. – Your one-year flight plan?
Chiarra Ferragni. – Hard to say… I know I flew 80 times last year. My office is in Milan, but I live in Los Angeles, so I constantly travel from Europe to the United States and vice versa. Not to mention other trips.

What is your travel uniform?
My thing ? Wear ultra-comfortable clothes that won’t bulk me up during the flight. I put on pants or jeans, sweatshirts over very soft t-shirts and an ultra-soft leather jacket. I love layering and adding or removing them depending on mood and need. I wear Levi’s jeans, Converse or my own brand sneakers, it depends.

Your survival kit?
An extendable scarf to fight the air conditioning, a good moisturizer, a toothbrush and my perfume. After twelve hours on the plane, they literally saved my life!

Your beauty tips?
My Juno face oil, from the brand Sunday Riley: this oil is magic! It restores radiance to the skin without greasing it. I also use the signature SK-II facial essence, which I spray on my face to hydrate it during the flight, and, for my hair, the Pantene ampoules. I never go anywhere without these products.

Your cure for jet lag?
As soon as I arrive, I stay focused on local time. I struggle not to sleep and I pick up the pace as quickly as possible.

Your suitcase?
I always keep my Louis Vuitton Keepall bag handy. I also have an old super-rugged Samsonite, covered in stickers, but last week the zipper broke!

The suitcase of your dreams?
One that wouldn’t break!

Your favorite airline?
I love Delta Air Lines, for the welcome and the flights that always arrive on time. I love Emirates, for the exceptional quality of service on board. A dream !

Madame Figaro. – Your one-year flight plan?
Natallie Joos. – I travel about 100,000 kilometers every year. Fashion is a globe-trotting job.

What is your travel uniform?
Very simple ! Generally, I’m in jeans, t-shirt, sneakers. I have a weakness for MiH jeans, Solid & Striped t-shirts and Nike or Adidas sneakers. But to be honest, once I’m settled in my seat, I put on leggings and a big pair of socks, just to be receptive to sleep.

Your survival kit?
A sleeping mask that I keep on my eyes for most of the flight, moisturizer, earplugs and a sleeping pill.

Your beauty tips?
Once there, take a shower immediately, drink a liter of water to rehydrate the body and cover your face with a thick layer of moisturizer. Air conditioning has a severe tendency to dry out the skin.

Your cure for jet lag?
Above all, do not take a nap once you arrive on site, but, on the contrary, hold on as long as possible in order to sleep as much as possible the first night. I admit that it doesn’t always work…

Your suitcase?
I have been faithful for years to my good old black Samsonite. It’s not particularly beautiful, but it’s super strong and that’s all I ask of it. I also have Kipling hand luggage, which I don’t leave, ultra-practical.

The suitcase of your dreams?
Mine suits me well! You see, I am faithful!

Your favorite airline?
I always fly on United Airlines. I have never been disappointed and their miles system is not bad at all.

Madame Figaro. – Your one-year flight plan?
Giovanna Battaglia. – According to my diary, I flew 200,000 kilometers in the air in 2015. Incredible, isn’t it? Especially when you know that it is mainly within the framework of my work.

What is your travel uniform?
I change once installed in the plane. I then put on ultra-comfortable Alaïa leggings, a gray Reformation sweatshirt with my nickname written on it and a pair of sneakers. There, I very often change models, I can go from Chanel to Adidas and from Balenciaga to Nike. I also take a large colorful bag signed Fendi, Sara Battaglia or Nancy Gonzalez. I slip in a large Hermès stole that keeps me warm in case of a cold snap.

Your survival kit?
My iPad, onto which I’ve downloaded all the latest fashion magazines, a good book and some sleeping pills.

Your beauty tips?
I never leave without my SK-II eye patches and an ultra-nourishing cream from the brands Sunday Riley or Retrouvé.

Your cure for jet lag?
Sleep on a plane and get into the rhythm of the city as quickly as possible. Melatonin helps me a lot too.

Your suitcase?
For ten years, I have not left the Globe-Trotter suitcases. One of them is completely covered with stickers collected around the world. I love it.

The suitcase of your dreams?
Let’s say that the absolute dream would be to no longer have a suitcase at all… My dressing room could teleport to where I’m going. And me, suddenly, I would teleport with him!

Your favorite airline?
Alitalia. At JFK airport, all the staff know me. Considering the number of Milan-New York flights I have made in recent years, it has practically become my second family.
