new armchair in Business and sustainable catering

Air France unveils its new long-haul Business cabin, elegantly reaffirming the art of French travel.
In constant evolution to always offer the highest level of comfort, the company revisits here its iconic seat, all in curves and softness, to offer a completely new version.
Air France is thus introducing a new standard dedicated to this travel cabin, gradually deployed on 12 Boeing 777-300s. This will take off for the first time in the fall of 2022 from Paris to New York JFK, the company’s mythical destination.
Attentive service, gastronomy signed by French starred chefs, rigorously selected wine and champagne list, wide choice of entertainment on board, the trip can begin.

A preserved space

The 48 spacious seats in the cabin take up the concept of the 3 “Fs”: Full Flat, they come in real beds nearly 2 meters long, Full Access, each one has direct access to the aisle and Full Privacy, for more privacy. The comfort of the seat and the ergonomics of the foams have been reworked in order to travel the sky without fatigue.
A new sliding door allows everyone to fully privatize their own space, thus preserving the rest of the cabin.
For more proximity when traveling for two, the seats located in the middle of the cabin have been completely redesigned. They now have a central wall that can simply be lowered. A large space of conviviality is then available to enjoy the trip together.
Finally, the seats in the first rows of the Business cabin have additional space in front of them for increased comfort.
Thanks to this new major step in the move upmarket, all of Air France’s Business seats will benefit from completely flat beds in the fall of 2023, compared to 90% today.

The Air France style

Air France unveils a cabin and a seat elegantly displaying its identity colors: navy blue, the presence of white bringing light and contrast, touches of red embodying its excellence and know-how. The carpet on the floor revisits the traditional ornamental herringbone pattern, symbolizing the emblematic world of Haussmann apartments.

The sense of detail

As they settle into their armchair, everyone is greeted by a backlit winged seahorse, embodying the founding myth of the company and the richness of its history. Inside the seat, the padding provides a feeling of softness and intimacy. Wool, brushed aluminium, French full-grain leather: Air France has favored noble, soft and natural materials for the manufacture of its seat. Each seat is also embroidered with the red accent, the company’s trademark symbol.
During the trip, everyone has a soft microfiber pillow and a soft blanket. With a simple touch of the finger, it is possible to adjust the inclination of its seat as desired as well as the light intensity of its space.
A new ‘do not disturb’ feature is also available which notifies the crew that the customer wishes to rest.

Stay connected

Each chair has a large 17.3-inch 4K High Definition anti-reflective screen, equipped with noise-reducing headphones and, for the first time, a Bluetooth connection allowing users to use their personal headphones. A new latest-generation graphical interface available in 12 languages makes it easy to navigate through a rich and varied offer.
More than 350 films are available including a large selection of French titles, as well as TV series, reports, documentaries, music and podcasts.
A section specific to well-being also allows young and old to learn about meditation or seated yoga during the trip. Finally, children now have their own browsing interface to easily find all the entertainment offered for them.
Ultra-connected, the seat also includes USB A and C ports, an induction charger and a computer socket.
In all cabins, customers have Air France Connect, the company’s connectivity offer. The portal offers three passes, one of which is completely free, allowing you to easily send and receive messages, as well as all information related to the flight and connections.

A comfort kit to accompany the trip

In keeping with its commitments to more responsible travel, Air France is offering for the first time a new comfort kit made from 93% recycled material. Its plastic packaging is removed in favor of an integrity seal. Sober and refined, it comes in two colors, navy blue and grey. Each kit contains a cornstarch-based toothbrush and pen, plus earplugs wrapped in kraft paper to avoid plastics. Large sleeping mask, socks, toothpaste and Clarins cosmetics complete the package.
