The TikTok makeup trend for a successful ID photo every time

Looking like a zombie in your ID photo is over, thanks to this new TikTok trend. On the social network, a young user has indeed recently made the buzz by making an ideal make-up for a passport or identity card photo. How to reproduce this make-up? And does he really respect the imposed rules? We tell you everything.

The ideal makeup for a passport photo, according to TikTok

We keep telling you, TikTok is the preferred social network for finding beauty tips of all kinds. Lately, it’s a make-up video for a passport photo that made the buzz on the platform. The makeup done by @georgia.barratt has indeed accumulated 10 million views, and the final result with the “reveal” of the shots, 14.5 million views.

It must be said that the young woman is sublime in the photos she took for her passport. We are far from the pallid complexion and dark circles, which we have almost all on our identity cards (let’s face it).

In her video, Georgia details the products and gestures she performed to obtain this stunning result. We warn you right away, this is not the easiest make-up you will achieve…

Here are the different steps:

  • Fix your eyebrows upwards with a clear gel
  • After completing your skincare routine, apply a luminous make-up base
  • Then move on to foundation – Georgia uses Nars Radiant Longwear Foundation, which she brushes on
  • Apply a luminous concealer to your dark circles and eyelids
  • Use a flat brush to apply concealer below the eyebrows, to give them a well symmetrical shape
  • Use a cream bronzer to achieve a face contouring : apply the product using a brush, making a 3 (temples, hollow of the cheeks, jaws). In her video, Georgia also redefines her chin and the tip of her nose.
  • Apply this same bronzer to the brow bone, just below the eyebrow
  • Finish the contouring with a fairly light corrector or concealer, to apply to the inner hollow of the eyes, on the forehead (in a triangle), on the chin and on the temples (to stretch to the hair for a fox eyes effect)
  • Very lightly apply cream blush on the top of the cheekbones
  • Mattify your complexion with a translucent powder
  • Go over your cream contour with a bronzer
  • Apply to a very thin eyeliner
  • Lightly apply mascara
  • Use a lip pencil to outline the lips then a gloss to give them a plump effect

This make-up may seem intense, but the result is there. A question remains, can we make such a make-up to take passport photos?

Can you wear make-up on a passport photo?

Contrary to what one might think, it is quite possible to make up for passport photos. Nevertheless, the result must remain natural.

You absolutely must not distort your features: you must be easily recognizable. Especially since it is rare to be very made up when you travel…

If you want to wear makeup for your next passport photo, we offer you a lighter version of the TikTok trend.

  • Use a BB cream to even out skin tone with a natural finish
  • Lightly apply concealer if you feel the need
  • Apply a cream blush to the cheekbones
  • Fix your eyebrows with a transparent gel
  • Apply some mascara or simply curl your lashes before the photo

If you wish, finish with a small touch of highlighter on the top of the cheekbones and on the tip of the nose.

As a reminder, your face and ears must be clear. On the hair side, we therefore advise you to opt for a sleek bun or for a high ponytail. Accessories are not allowed.
