Toulouse finds Montreal with Air Transat

The airline company Air Transat relaunched its seasonal link between Montreal and Toulouseone of his seven destinations in France this summer.

Since May 1 and until October 30, 2022, the Canadian company has offered up to four flights per week between its base in Montreal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau and the airport of Toulouse-Blagnac, operated by Airbus A321LR which can accommodate 12 passengers in Business class and 187 in Economy. Departures are initially scheduled for Thursday and Sunday, plus Wednesday and Friday from June 8, with departures at 11:40 p.m. arriving the next day at 12:40 p.m.; return flights leave France at 2:55 p.m. to land at 4:55 p.m. (average flight time 7:30 a.m.).

Air Transat remains without competition on this route, which had been suspended at the start of the Covid-19 pandemic but relaunched in July 2020 before being suspended again last summer.

Its passengers “will also be able to continue their journey to other Canadian cities thanks to the domestic flights offered by Air Transat, and even to arrive in one city and leave from another thanks to the multi-destination offer, very popular and practical to best visit this great country that is Canada”. It has just restarted its domestic flights connecting Montreal to Vancouver and Calgary (and those to these two cities from Toronto), and signed a code-sharing agreement with WestJet opening up more Canadian destinations from Europe. Remember that Air Transat serves, among other places, Paris-CDG from Montreal, therefore, Toronto and Quebec.

The bond that unites France and Canada is very precious. It is therefore a real pleasure for us to restore our direct flights from Toulouse, a route which has been an integral part of our air program for more than 30 years and which we now operate exclusively. “said in a press release Cyril Cousin, Director of Air Transat France, Belgium, Netherlands, Switzerland and Germany. ” We know that travellers, whether on vacation or reuniting with loved ones, particularly appreciate the ease of getting to their final destination non-stop. We are therefore delighted to be able to offer them this service again. “.

Philippe Crébassa, Chairman of the Management Board of Toulouse-Blagnac Airport, added: ” Today, Toulouse finally regains its direct connection to Canada with a sustained program of 4 flights per week to Montreal. This reopening was eagerly awaited and we are delighted to see Air Transat’s planes again, as well as its always smiling and warm flight attendants. We welcome with open arms our Canadian friends who come to visit our region. And this line will allow Toulouse residents to leave to discover “the beautiful province” of Quebec but also professionals, families and friends living on each side of the Atlantic to meet “.

In order to offer more flexibility to its customers, Air Transat continues to expand the conditions for changing and canceling its fare options in both Economy Class and Club Class. In fact, passengers now have the option of canceling their trip, regardless of the fare option chosen. For Eco Budget, Eco Standard and Club Standard rates, a $200 cancellation fee will apply. Reimbursement will be made to the payment method on file. For Eco Flex and Club Flex fares, cancellation is always possible, at no additional cost. In addition, the flexibility relating to changes to flight itineraries, in effect since December 1, continues. Passengers therefore have the option of changing their travel dates and/or destination free of charge, up to 24 hours before departure. Only the fare difference will apply.
