Toulouse. Long Ma, magic, virtual reality… Our ideas for convivial outings for these holidays

Here are our ideas for having fun, getting some fresh air and relaxing during this Easter holiday, from Saturday April 23 to Sunday May 8, 2022.

Workshops at the Grand Bazaar

The Grand Bazaar is the new cultural place at the crossroads of the arts in Toulouse. The place will take advantage of the holidays to multiply initiatives with courses for all ages (sewing, visual arts, writing, etc.). Virtual reality experiences (helmets provided), guitar, yoga and quizzes will also be part of the game.

A new virtual reality room

Dreamaway, this is the new large virtual reality space, which opens in town on Saturday April 23, 2022 between rue de Metz and place Saint-Georges. For the opening, the first two days will be free, Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 April 2022.

Free artistic workshops

The ESMA and ETPA schools organize internships to discover artistic professions. Photography, 3D animation, graphic design… These courses are reserved for high school students in Terminale and young people under 25 in retraining.

The Saint-Exupéry exhibition at the Flight of the Pioneers

L’Envol des Pionniers offers an unprecedented temporary exhibition that retraces the life of the famous aviator-writer Antoine de Saint Exupéry, who became the airmail pilot on the land of L’Envol des Pionniers. Around sound and visual installations, unpublished documents (letters, newspapers, books, documents…) and evocation of legendary planes, the visitor discovers another facet of the creator of the Little Prince.

The exhibition, to discover for these Easter holidays, lasts until November 6, 2022.

Everyone at the Cité de l’Espace!

The big highlight of the Cité de l’espace turns around the planet Mars, with the opening, since the beginning of April 2022, of a new lively place where the public can discover the life-size and mobile replicas – and extremely faithful – Perseverance (NASA-USA) and Zhurong (CAST-China) roverswho are currently evolving on the red planet in search of traces of past life.

This new place of scientific mediation takes the form of a 900 m crater2where the very special soil and rocks of the red planet are faithfully reproduced.

Ball at the Grand Rond

With sunny days, do you have a furious desire to dance? Meet at the Boulingrin roundabout for an afternoon of dancing. DJ and live concert will be provided by the Simbora association.

What awaits you at African Safari

For these holidays, the African Safari zoo offers make-up stands, to attend the Asian otter tea party and the resumption of bird meetings. The opportunity to discover the two new kids in the park: Sora and Ange!

The Harlem Globetrotters® at the Sports Palace

The Harlem Globetrotters® always guarantee a great basketball show! Their new Pushing The Limits tour passes through Toulouse and the Sports Palace André Brouat (the tour, originally scheduled for 2020, had been postponed due to the Covid).

Enjoying Long Ma at the Machine

After an exceptional weekend of entertainment on the Piste des Géants, the Long Ma dragon-horse is still to be discovered at the Halle de la Machine, until May 8. And for the first time, Long Ma takes travelers aboard his travel temple inspired by the architecture of the Forbidden City. A place of choice at 10 meters high!

Magic and board games make their festival

At the end of the second week of the Easter holidays, remember to tick off the Alchimie du jeu festival on your diary, which celebrates its 20th anniversary at the Meett (from May 6 to 8, 2022). Another festival for young and old, that of magic at the Barrière casino (May 7 and 8). Illusionists, mentalists… Artists of international level will be there.

Lots of entertainment at the racecourse

The racecourse organizes the galloping challengewith eight national races that will follow each other every 30 minutes, and three prizes on the menu : the Silver Vase Prize, the Caravelle Prize and the FBA Aymeri de Mauléon Prize. A family event with many activities such as a brunch, pony baptisms…

Africa at the Limayrac room

The Limayrac room in Toulouse is hosting a two-day auto-entrepreneur fair on the theme of Africa. Find exhibitors who will present their know-how through fashion, cosmetics, bags, accessories (crafts) as well as culinary products.
