Before or after contemplation, place for action! The Rodin Museum gives pride of place to the creativity of budding artists and opens from June 11 to August 28 the Atelier Rodin, a new space dedicated to the discovery of art and sculpture through practice. The Atelier Rodin is intended for all ages and the activities offered are suitable for all ages with the sole objective of arousing your curiosity and allowing you to explore Rodin’s art through play. The European Days of Archeology

The National Archeology Days raise public awareness of the diversity of the archaeological heritage, the results of research and the different specializations and excavation methods. A rich program will be offered in the capital, including a special weekend at the Archaeological Crypt where music, games, stories, workshops will immerse you in the remains of the ancient city of Paris! At the Musée des Plans-reliefs, you will follow the museum’s lecturer-guides to discover how historical models and archeology go hand in hand!

This year, from June 17 to 26, experiences in the heart of nature are offered in 150 forests throughout France: shows, artistic installations, evenings, bivouacs and walks guided by foresters or storytellers, day and night, will allow you to meet the exciting worlds of the forest. For the well-being of the ewes, the annual spring shearing is essential. You are invited to discover this profession, as well as the seasonal needs of sheep. You can also take part in the workshop “The wool as a runner”, an activity around wool and vegetable dyes, from 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. (registration on site the same day).

Butterflies in the spotlight

Come to the Maison Paris Nature to discover behind the scenes of the life of butterflies. You will discover the life cycle of butterflies, the threats to their survival, and the solutions to save them. Finally, you can participate in the care of the butterflies and the maintenance of the aviary.

The bicentenary of the Canal de l’Ourcq

In 2021, the Saint-Denis canal celebrated the 200th anniversary of its commissioning. This year, it is the turn of the Canal de l’Ourcq. The commissioning of the Canal de l’Ourcq, between Paris and Mareuil-sur-Ourcq, dates from the end of 1822. Today, the Canal de l’Ourcq is a place of leisure with very lively banks and cruises organized in particular as part of the summer of the Canal. On the program for this bicentenary: cruises, walks, bike rides, visits to the Trilbardou lifting plant, exhibitions, kayak rides…Enjoy!

The itinerant Ludomouv move from one district to another. They are run by professional toy librarians from the “Kaloumba” and “À l’Adresse du Jeu” associations. This week, they stop at the Buttes Chaumont park in the 19th and on the Renée Lebas esplanade in the 11th.

The Cinékids of June

From April to July, the CinéKids invite families to a veritable festival of colours! Lively, pastel, warm or brilliant, the films and special screenings (film-concerts, preview, film-philo…) of the “Colorama” program open up a whole world of colorful images and characters! This week, rendezvous with “Jean de la lune” and “The adventures of Prince Ahmed”.

All little ones must one day learn to fly on their own. What an adventure to leave the nest to let yourself be guided by your curiosity, make different friends or even face the elements! Discover “Discovering the World”, a program of 5 animated short films accessible to toddlers from 2 years old. The screening will be followed by a workshop where, with papers of multiple textures that echo the different animation techniques of the films in the program, the very young spectators create their own sensory landscape.

Family movie-concert

The Le Balzac cinema offers you an eclectic and joyful screening of 8 short films chosen for their fabulous ability to make us laugh, travel, and think about our world differently. The screening will be accompanied by an orchestra of 14 young professional musicians, who will reinterpret the original composition of these films as faithfully as possible.

Between North Africa, Spain and the Congo, Samir and Davy recount and sing about their journeys, punctuated by encounters and small life stories. Leaving France, Davy will find his roots in Africa, while Samir, Kabyle, takes the opposite route to reach Europe. The Lamoureux Orchestra has created the original concept of a concert specially designed for children from 0 to 5 years old. In an intimate and relaxed atmosphere, the Orchestra plays musical pieces for toddlers for 30 minutes. With the show “Little harpist”, the harp, one of the oldest musical instruments, is the orchestra’s special guest and reveals all its secrets.


Diary of a Revolutionary

Come and discover with your family the history of the French Revolution in Paris through this visit-workshop of the Carnavalet Museum! The 18th century and the Revolution were favorable periods for writing letters, correspondence, memoirs and diaries. After a journey through the rooms, the children are led to invent their personal diary by putting themselves in the shoes of a citizen who goes through the French Revolution.
